The weekend of 20th of June saw the first staging of the newest event on our 2022 programme.

The fully booked event at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall, was inspired by the highly impactful work that Leeds Beckett has delivered over the last ten years around recovery and resilience within the community of wounded, injured and sick members of the armed forces on their journey of recovery

It was a really inspiring weekend with our delegates, working with our lived experience mentors and the fantastic coaches from Carnegie Great Outdoors and Leeds Beckett University.

Everyone definitely brought their 'A' game to this experience, designed to promote confidence, self belief and accelerate physical, psychological and social recovery.

The Foundation's Programme Development Manager and Mentor, Richie Paxton, who helped bring the event content together, was blown away by the impact on the delegates: "The +1% workshop was an amazing experience, and seeing how inspired those who attended were, left me quite emotional".

Congratulations to the coaching team and all our delegates for their energy and commitment to the programme - together we can rebuild positive lives after gambling harm.
